Just put tape over that section, hope it helps
This was legitimately the advice that was given to me by my IT department when I put in a request to install f.lux to redshift my screen.
“Just put tape over the blue light”

That's both hilarious and infuriating
That's when the malicious compliance kicks in. Start a new ticket with a picture of your monitor, with the entire screen taped off. Ask why you can't find your mouse
Night light has been a thing for quite some time
This was from before Windows 10 included night light in the OS
