Because America isn't a nation, so much as an idea.
And Trump recognizes that he's in control of what that idea can become. Democrats have, at least in recent history, represented an utterly incapable and worthless challenge to that vision. The "centrists", if you can even call them that, capitulated entirely to Trump-ism in the period of 2020-2024. They aren't a challenge to Trumpism.
Mamdani is giving voters an alternative vision of what the future can be, and that is the most threatening thing to both Trump and the management class of the DNC.
This is about controlling the narrative, and Mamdani shows what we progressives have always been saying: Put the policies on the table and the voters will vote for them. The things Mamdani is running on are wildly popular; some of the most popular policies that exist. And they break corporate control over our politics, something that hasn't happens in the US in almost 60 years since the implementation of the southern strategy.
The war Trump is waging against the citizens of the US is no different that than why Putin invaded Ukraine: They are working to redefine the identity of a nation.
Mark my words, Trump will kidnap and murder Mamdani before he cedes control of the narrative which he believes is his own.

When you make a deal with the mob you become a bitch. Fast forward to the current day. Trump who used to deal with mafias in NYC... Is owned by them like guilliani is after he made the deal for his political career to look good as if he cleaned up NYC. ...guiliani was dragged into the game... Now remember trumpnis a bitch of organized crime... Giuliani... Got caught up and extorted to be a pawn in this current game... He had a debt to pay for his cleaning up of NYC deal.
Giuliani fucked up his part in this current deal and got his career killed.
It's no different than Elon... Elon was naive dipshit played out. And to deny this reality is to be pawn to the game. We need boss to win.

Anyone that isn't budgeting and spending as much as they can on guns, etc and defense... Is daf. You're buying the next videogame, you're buying an overpriced coffee? You're buying some novelty item... This isn't a game and this isn't a drill... It can quickly be too late. Honestly it already is because for centuries we fed this beast as if we were praising a god.
