Poland’s election protests grow amid fraud claims: recounting the votes is not enough

Today, Poland is being pressured by Russia, and if we do not react collectively and decisively, we will lose what our ancestors worked hard and died for. There are breakthrough moments in the history of democracy. One of them was the election of Winston Churchill as prime minister, who promised the British something they certainly did not like: blood, sweat and tears, but in return gave them a monumental victory.

Now, Poles have voted and, for now, have elected a man as president who, without promising anything, will certainly give Poland blood, sweat and tears. Since the anti-democratic camp led by Jarosław Kaczyński claims the right to constantly lie, deceive and disinform its voters, who, undaunted, believe in the Smolensk crime, the nonsense about immigrants flooding us, the nonsense about German enemies, the nonsense about the traitor Tusk, then we, the democrats, should believe that the presidential elections were really rigged.

And how important are these elections? Please, let everyone read about the first post-war elections to the Polish Legislative Sejm on January 19, 1947, which, as the IPN website (sic!) states, were rigged by the communists and served to formalize Soviet power in Poland. Today, Poland is under Russian attack (pressure), and if we do not respond collectively and decisively, we will lose what our ancestors worked hard for and died for. Yours faithfully
