This article does clearly state that both prices are USD, but everywhere else indicates that the price is 1000 CAD.

I wouldn't mind just one screen size. The main reason I won't buy another Android tablet for the foreseeable future. Is that none of them support them long term. I have three different ones from the last 10 years. All of which we're doing good just to get one OS upgrade

Starting on the 20th of June 2025, the EU is enforcing a minimum of 5 years of updates on all smartphone/tablets sold after they are withdrawn from the market.
I.e. if a model is sold for 2 years, it must receive software support for 7 years.
Even if you're outside of the EU, you'll benefit from this. Since the OEMs have to do it anyway, they'll likely push the updates to all markets and market it as if they're being nice.

See what tablets are supported by Lineage OS or other custom ROM devs. I ran a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 up until just a few years ago, when the hardware just couldn't handle the demands anymore. Had unofficial Lineage OS support for a long while.

I mean yeah better OS upgrade support would be the bees knees. But at 13" may as well just get a proper laptop or a Lenovo Duet, in my opinion.
