It's been living rent free in my head all these years
Tunak Tunal Tun - Dahler Mehndi
Kinda surprised that this wasn't already listed. This one is 17 years old but not the original.
Super Mario Bros Frustration. Very first YouTube video I ever watched as a toddler. I learned many words I shouldn't have at that age lmao
David Blaine street magic, makes me wheeze everytime! https://youtu.be/wTqsV3q7rRU
What a classic, every time he looks at the camera I just lose it
WHAT THE EFF!!
I completely forgot about this video. Thank you!
I forgot this one, its so funny
Racist Field Trip gets me laughing fit to cry. Would have killed to be in the room when he was telling the story. Guys in the background about to piss themselves!
Can't believe these haven't been mentioned. Maybe because they're too popular, but they always makes me laugh:
Came here for grape stomping lady. Knew I wouldn't be disappointed.
You gotta do the cooking by the book.
Forgot this classic.
I'm yet to find a video better than this.
https://youtu.be/jM8XdUNhNmU I nearly piss myself every time I watch this.
I thought it was older, short but sweet.
20 years on my partner and I still quote The End of the World occasionally.
That and https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/285267 was great back in the day. Before even youtube.
Fucking early ass Neil Cicierega, he has come so far!
FENTON!!! https://youtu.be/3GRSbr0EYYU
Jesus Christ!
A classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ5LpwO-An4
HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA
Outside in, how to turn a sphere inside out.
It was already upvoted 😂
That's really cool. Hadn't ever seen it before.
The death star canteen. https://youtu.be/Sv5iEK-IEzw
The front fell off https://youtu.be/3m5qxZm_JqM
Nicht so tief Rüdiger! it's in german though
I don't know of this is old enough, but it's a damn good song and they got a lot the old legends in the video
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PQHPYelqr0E&pp=ygUOcG9yayBhbmQgYmVhbnM%3D
I still quote this several times a week.
Hey clip. I believe I stumbled on it from something Kevin Smith did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_CSo1gOd48

Four Chords (Yeah! Fuck off chicken little!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pidokakU4I
The 4 chord song! I had totally forgotten about this
Seems like a good thread to plug !youtubeclassics@sh.itjust.works
What a fun question. Made me nostalgic for early social media days.
Early YouTube: Daft Punk Hands
Pre-Youtube: The End of the World
Harder Better Faster Stronger
Best paired with Daft Hands
Daft Bodies will never get old. Those girls couldn't dance but they could synchronize. Some of the best of white girls being dorks on the internet that there ever was.
Numa Numa predates YT. I don't think it should count in this case.
I’ve been very recently rewatching the pure pwnage series. Such a nostalgia trip, not just because the videos themselves but the era they took place in too
I did a re-watch last year. Although a lot didn't age well, it was still so good and brought back a lot of great memories that I don't mind if its dated.
Almost all my iconic video favorites aren't YouTube original content (though they have been uploaded to YouTube).
Like Slackcircus's Fabulous Secret Powers
I forgot this one too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qN72LEQnaU
The Hamster Dance Song
If you want to feel old.
She's new, but is the spiritual successor of old YouTube.
This has lived rent free in my head for years.
Can't believe it hasn't been posted :D
DING DONG BANNU
oh and also, seriously, does anybody want to come to Candy Mountain with me? I found Candy Mountain!
Here’s my favorite deep cut. It was the first video I ever saw on YouTube: My Hands Are Bananas
Bizarre televangelist. Whacked out even by Reverend Bruce Howard’s usual standards https://youtu.be/a8xvpo5WVlo
Can't really name a specific one so I'll go with:
I'm sure the most watched ones might be: The Duck song, Asdfmovie, and the like...
My picks:
Funny nativity
https://youtu.be/ihQuiyV-lXU
A good compilation: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0F31B2079F0C884B
Nowadays it would be against copyright for half the videos.
This guy Andrew Struthers made cool stuff back in the day, too bad he became a COVID-denying anti-trans bigot. He made his mark with Spiders On Drugs and then used the money he made to make a feature film. Americanface, the resulting film, is one of my favorite films. It really sucks that he became such a dickbag.
Not sure if this counts, but like any earlier time period, I'd be too young to be on the internet so its "classic" to me, but anyways: my favorite is probably this Vsauce video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDrBIKOR01c
I'm not sure if this is like #1 favorite, but probably a Top 10. Vsauce is one of my favorite channels. Videos kinda give a mini-existential crisis but also shows how cool existence is, in a sort of nihilistic way.
I want it that way. 19 years ago. Probably the first YouTube I ever watched.
Rare prehistoric TikTok
Best YTP ever, but German
