It really is amazing how poor Russia's CASEVAC is that this isn't even the first time I have seen a Russian soldier decide to not even attempt to receive medical treatment, as that would likely mean being left in the dirt for hours hoping someone actually evacuates you.

He was sapient the entire time the grenade went off in his face and was indeed suffering from extreme pain from his decision.
He was slowly bleeding out, and you see him helpless as he lays there realizing the mistake he made.
Goes to show you how shit Russian training is; to use a shitty grenade that used low-yield explosives to spread shrapnel; a grenades' intent is to maim not kill. That way you take more personnel out of the fight because they must tend to wounded people with shrapnel injuries.
You watched a man die slowly and painfully. This is exactly what he deserved.
This is truly disgusting. How desperate can a human being be to mortally wound himself rather than surrender himself or to retreat. Or even have a f#cking chance to decline to fight in a conflict puppeteered by power hungry old farts. I'm feeling sorry for the guy, after all, he was still a human being with feelings, hopes and dreams. Still leaves behind a family, friends and other loved ones. I'm feeling sorry for the guy that in his final moments he thought it would be better to hurt himself propably caused by intense fear of retaliations. SMH.
I know the are the aggressors, but watching this… I can’t fathom the utter hopelessness this poor man must have felt.
