The "method" is to literally just do it and know that the democrats will tut-tut and wag their finger announce how this goes against rule of law, and he'll just ignore them and they won't actually move to stop him.
I think a far worse outcome is him changing the rules so that Musk can run. Not an American, but a Musk term as president would probably be far more destructive than a third Trump term for y'all.

When interest is waning (consent machine is failing, citizens are thinking organizing instead of voting, etc.) what better way to regain interest than by having the surprise comeback of a beloved character. I think the chance of the dems taking the House next year is zero. If I'm right - in red states the GOP will use any and all methods skew the results of federal elections including openly breaking the law. Why wouldn't they? They aren't going to be charged in state court and they certainly aren't going to be charged in federal court by Trump's DOJ. And - of course - Trump's FBI won't investigate any GOP criminality of any kind.
