There are like hundreds of academic papers showing crime is a primarily a product of social conditions (e.g., trauma, intergenerational trauma, poverty, inequality, social cohesion, unemployment, lead paint in your god damn house, education, neighborhood characteristics, etc.)
There's also tons of evidence that the American criminal justice system is biased against black Americans at every step of the way, including disproportionate police presence in black neighborhoods, more police contact, more negative interactions, being sentenced by white judges and juries, harsher sentences for the same crimes, lesser access to criminal defense, etc.
