This is very [meta]. But goodbye to everything I've posted from this account.

The SDF instance has been overtaken by a troll and the admins don't have the funding or bandwidth to deal with it. In the only protest I can do (to a non-profit that I deeply care about and whose mission is one of the few I've ever donated to) and delete this account and all associated content. We've used every channel of communication to make the administration of this instance aware of the troll and their multiple accounts that are active.

So, this is the end of what I've posted from this account in ~24 minutes at the time of this writing. Anything I've ever posted that you like, save it now because I'm nuking it from orbit.

Belay that order. We actually woke up the admins with badgering!

    Still... looking forward to whatever comes next.

    • I was seconds away, and the troll got banned again. We raised enough of a stink to make it happen. It's a small instance, and this troll is besmirching the name of the non-profit actively. We have a cool culture based around UNIX and surrealism.

      • Hopefully your crew can stay vigilant for the likely resurgences of said douche canoe.

        Never mind that they get abandoned by the ship right after that moment.

  • This sucks. What sucks even more is that this is going to happen again. And again and again. The fediverse is a threat to hegemony. And world events have emboldened the deplorables.
