This article is about CEO's apologizing to shareholders for raking in less profit. Fuck that entire sentiment. How about CEO's apologize for shit pay, horrid working environments, and poisoning the planet? Fuck this corporate propaganda.
Yes, they should take less profit because their workers should be getting paid more, the workers should be save from being mangled or poisoned, and the environment should be protected. All of that needs to come before these parasites buying a bunch of yachts, planes, and multiple homes.
Fuck apologies. I don't want to hear an apology from a CEO any more than I want to hear pots and pans scraping on a chalkboard. And I say that as a Canadian.
CEOs should be criminally charged more often for their screwups.
Think Boeing for killing people in their death trap airplanes, Tesla for killing pedestrians and cyclists with their half baked self driving software, health insurance companies denying claims that could have saved lives, etc etc etc.
You don't get to cause harm to people with your profit driven decisions and walk free.
The most common justification from capitalists for CEOs' disgustingly high income is that they "take on the risk of the business" so when their business breaks the law, why the fuck shouldn't they be dragged in front of a jury to answer for those crimes?
Why does an apology matter if you know they don't actually mean it, nothing will ultimately change, they would do it again if they knew they wouldn't get caught, and the only reason they apologize is for publicity?
