According to Vladimir Lenin, "He who does not work shall not eat" is a necessary principle under socialism, the preliminary phase of the evolution towards communist society
Soviet 1938 constitution
In the USSR work is a duty and a matter of honor for every able-bodied citizen, in accordance with the principle: "He who does not work, neither shall he eat".
Also
Joseph Stalin had quoted Vladimir Lenin during the Soviet famine of 1932–1933 declaring: "He who does not work, neither shall he eat."
"Well, he was obviously an undesirable in our egalitarian utopia, anyway." "Let him go, then."
"Never! He must be SHOT!"
That's the kind of classic willful huge blind spot in their half-baked regurgitations. Any "undesirables" in a society where all are supposed to be equal. And that is no "capitalist billionaire pig" tragically attempting to flee in that photo. You need some huge, grotesque mental gymnastics to disregard and dismiss images such as this one.
It is downright cringe to see some of these clowns post stuff supporting communism. I mean I get it that capitalism has issues, but these pro-communist folks are hilariously embarrassing.
Lots of stories of people trying to escape communist Germany... can't think of many stories of people from the West willingly defecting to the communist East?
Funny how there are so many edgel0rds on Lemmy endlessly pushing communism-this and communism-that. I know most of these guys are probably 14 year olds trying to act cool and all, but too bad they weren't alive when events shown in the photo were occurring.
