What did you post ?
This is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta17KRKy8NI
I had a look. Seems like a quite old video (11 months ago), but it is an official MEP speech as the European Parliament.
I guess you were banned to say that "Israel didn't like her very much so she had to go", while she just lost the elections
In the 2024 European Parliament elections, she was endorsed by celebrities, Susan Sarandon and Annie Lennox. She lost her seat at this election, with 26,855 (7.1%) first preference votes.
What evidence do you have to back up your claim that Israel was involved in that vote?
at this point, why not setup your own instance + communities so you can do whatever you please?
If it was just this guy, he'd be defederated from everywhere within days.
Yeah many instances don't take kindly to admins using their abilities to circumvent bans, which he would almost certainly do if he were an admin.
What would be the point of that? I'm not interested of going on a banhammer powertrip or create an echo-chamber. I can freely post on .ml since it's not ran by Zionists.
Aside from a few Tankie.World communities there would be no point to making my own instance.

I feel like these are invaluable instructions to any moderator dealing with him, or worried they might have to deal with him in the future.
would be good to know the context here?
Context: Linkerbaan whines every time he gets banned for incivility and blames Zionism for it. And it happens on an almost daily basis.
Yeah he's one of the more problematic users on Lemmy, that's why I put together a little guide on how to ban users with the API since that allows preemptive banning that can prevent dealing with problematic users like this before they start trouble in communities.
I said israel ran a campaign against Clare Daly to force her out of the European parliament which the mod deemed antisemitic.
YDI. Nothing more to really say, it's all been said.
Once more, do not downvote posts because you think they deserved it. Use the YDI
vote for that.
Is there anyway to have a bot counting the votes and have a results table? That might encourage people to use the letters system rather than up/down votes
No, but we didn't have nearly enough traffic to warrant this. But if someone makes one, I'll allow it.

Is there a phrase to describe someone latching on to a cause not out of a good faith desire to help it, but to use its rhethoric as a shield in order to attack as many people as their typing speed will allow?
You again.
When you get into arguments with this many people, you should ask yourself if maybe you're the problem.
isnt linkerban "famous" for being a total jerk?
As famous as someone can be on here.
When you're defending israel on every post you should ask yourself if you're in a position to criticize people.
Am I doing that?
