  • CNN is just as obnoxious as reddit rn. Saying that the Russian army is totally routed right now and that Zelensky is fighting on the front lines. Meanwhile Putin is losing control of Russia and is on the verge of a coup. The entire world is in lockstep behind the Ukrainian government which are NOT NEO NAZIS.

  • Russian war, day 4. Milwaukee Wisconsin.

If anyone is still out there, I’m alive but struggling. Food is running low. Down to only 459 days worth. My arms are super sore from waiving the Uranian flag and my butt is super clean from wiping it with the $oviet flag. Down to 1599 rounds of ammo (dropped 1 round down the heat vent while doing daily inventory). Power still on, but for how long? Missing human interaction but I have my dogs.. for now.. (I'm soaking their food in BBQ sauce in an attempt to marinate them from the inside in case I have to eat them) . I fear dark days ahead. News is all bad. Neighbors have attempted to leap from windows to their death, (or near death... most have single story homes so they are badly bruised). Blew through most Band of Brothers series so may have to rewatch some again..Basic Survival is a definite challenge. I vow to persevere to the end, I am a survivor! Please, if there is life out there, communicate with me to help preserve my sanity

  • The folks over at /r/anarchism are mass upvoting a list of "marine tactics" that includes shit like poisoning wells as you retreat. Why couldn't they be mass upvoting the news about defection in the Russian military and Russian anti war protests? What happened to "No war between nations, no peace between classes?"

  • I speak Arabic so I'm watching Al Jazeera's coverage to avoid Anglo brainworms. An Arab Tunisian student is now being interviewed live, he's saying that Ukrainians are kicking them out from shelters and from buses that are going to Poland. He's calling the situation the worst form of racism he has ever experienced. He said that it's systemic and Ukrainian people are helping the authorities in kicking out all foreigners from shelters to the streets. Some Arab and African students are starving and their feet are bleeding from running away. Truly despicable situation

  • While I remain anti-Putin, fuck anyone who think Azov Nazis aren't a problem in Ukraine.

Whats the bet we get another Taliban situation where NATO arms a far-right group (although this time it's to fight another far-right group) and we end up with a Ukraine run by either NATO-backed Nazis or homophobic Russian imperials (the fault of the US meddling in Russia to begin with.)

  • I'm having such a rough time with this one, man. Russia is clearly the aggressor and it's awful what they're doing to the Ukrainian people, and their own people for that matter. But looking at the major american news, social media, reddit, etc is maddening. There's a post on Reddit with a fucking cat on a Ukrainian soldier's shoulder. It all just feels so weird and fake. I know there's no side worth taking, but the entire thing is just so fucking hollow. I hate every minute of this shit. Fuck man.

  • I feel so fucking tired, I was chatting with my parents about the Ukraine war situation and I mentioned that Azov literally crucified a guy and they just acted like it was probably not real? Like it was something Russia made up and then they both sides'd the situation by saying that the republics also fired on Ukraine?

Like they fucking crucify people, they are internationally documented as having raped and tortured people to suppress the republics, they wanna fucking ethnically cleanse the eastern Ukraine and now they are officially representing the Ukranian national guard, like these are pure facts what the fuck. The instinctive anti-Russia shit is so fucking disturbing like how do you fucking hear that one side of the conflict recruited people who literally crucify people and go "Oh well the other sides pretty bad too". Like what do you mean "How many Azov members are there?", how is that fucking relevant like oh its fine if you have just a tiny dedicated genocide unit in your military?

  • When Europeans devastate Middle Eastern countries: "Oh thats just the way it is those people have been at war for centuries"

When war breaks out in Europe: "Ukraine deserves so much better"

Not even angry just depressed again, its so fucking constant

  • The western imperial powers has ordered Zelensky not to meet for peace talks unless Russia withdraws completely. This is not going to happen.

The Ukrainian government keeps derailing plans for peace talks by bickering over the venue.

Russia won't cease hostilities while the talks are ongoing and their demand for regime change is next to unacceptable for Ukraine.

Meanwhile the western imperial powers keeps raising the stakes for Russia and keeps pouring arms into the conflict.

Nobody seems interested in an honourable negotiated peace. Thus will either result in total Russian victory or in Ukraine turning into a new Afghanistan.

None of this is in the interest of Ukrainians. There is no way this will not end in the loss of thousands of lives.

  • Eric Swalwell...

Please stop calling it “Ukraine Conflict” or “War in Ukraine” or “Russia-Ukraine War.” It is none of those. This is entirely on one state. This is Russia’s War.

Imagine if we took his advice for American wars. It would be confusing as hell...

    • America's War 1
    • America's War 2
    • America's War 3
    • Etc, etc fucking etc
  • Once again China has the best takes:

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang said “China doesn’t support the use of sanctions to solve problems, and even more so opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law.”

“It’s been long proven that sanctions not only fail to solve [existing] problems, but create news ones, resulting ‘lose-lose’ effects on the economy and interfering in the process of political settlement,” he added.

The minister said China opposes both the use of force and sanctions regarding Ukraine. He argued that Russia’s “legitimate security demands” on NATO’s eastward expansion “should be properly addressed.”

  • I swear, if someone even critiques NATO or anyone wanting to escalate, even does it after condemning this invasion, you just get screamed at online. They are going to get what they want, NATO is going to expand because of this.

  • Zelensky says he agreed with Lukashenko to meet for peace talks with Russian delegates at the border near Pripyat River. Lukashenko has given his word to ground all Russian armed forces in Belarus during the Ukrainian negotiators’ travel, talks, & return. https://t.me/V_Zelenskiy_official/745?embed=1

The result of the conversation with Alexander Lukashenko.

We agreed that the Ukrainian delegation will meet with the Russian one without preconditions on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River.

Alexander Lukashenko took responsibility for the fact that for the duration of the passage, negotiations and return of the Ukrainian delegation, all aircraft, helicopters and missiles stationed on Belarusian territory will remain on the ground.

  • I just keep thinking if there were tanks and apcs rolling down my cities streets or helicopters and fighter jet battles near it. Can't believe places like Kiev were just normal with people living their lives and like a week later, it's a war now.

  • Seeing weapons sent into the country, the government closing borders while passing out rifles, and the west's sanction's of Russia, I'm really worried that the plan is to turn this into another 40 year insurgency on the border of a US enemy. Meanwhile, people are praising the "bravery" of the Ukrainians for fighting back, when a quick end to the war would probably be the best case scenario for peace.

Like, if the insurgency that's being built right now is able to win because of mass dissent in Russia including striking and defecting soldier, I'll eat my hat and admit they were right, but right now it seems like a recipe for a lot of pain.

  • Russia's war strategy from one user in subreddit:

1] Declare Luhansk and Donetsk independence and secure those areas - DONE

2] Take control of Chernobyl - DONE

3] Completely destroy ukrainian military infrastructure - bases, military airfield, power plants, factories - IN PROGRESS

4] Raise Gas prices, oil prices and essential commodity prices [wheat, aluminium, etc] => Increase cost of living [gas bills, metal prices, ] in europe

5] Take control of [or destroy] gas fields and gas pipelines in Ukraine - IN PROGRESS

6] If Kicked out of SWIFT => Accelerate de-dollarization using alternative systems, freeze western europe assets in Russia [e.g. ExxonMobil and British Petroluem's stake in Russian Gas companies]

7] Create refuge crisis in EU => put strain on the western european economic system and government. Already > 100,000 ukranians have left ukraine and into NATO countries. Let's be honest, this is the best opportunity for ukranians to settle in a western european country like france or germany. I highly doubt most of them would want to return after this is over instead of living in Paris or Berlin.

8] Collect all the military aid [weapons, tanks, vehicles] provided by NATO and take across the border to Russia [LOL]
