This show continues to be a delight, with a little magic thrown in.

I quickly figured out the ::: spoiler spoiler old man was Santa Claus :::

There really wasn't much in this particular episode to do with the Tokusatsu villain theme, but that's okay.

The little bits of how it feels to live in winter-time Japan were great.

I didn't know this about mikan citrus, but a quick google says it is a fruit that is in season in winter

And I can imagine that for people living in drafty and poorly insulated older Japanese apartments, or if you don't want to waste energy heating the whole apartment, a kotatsu table is both energy efficient and comfortable.

And I can definitely imagine it's tough to leave the kotatsu if the room is very cold.
