The one thing I hate about the T2 movie is that that boy never shows up again, we don't have an explanation on what happened to him next.
He's a survivor. He had a hunch and started walking casually toward the mountains, never to be seen again.
Some say he is still walking.
Grew up to be Rick Grimes.
