Don't you agree that individuals that went back to reddit are the same type that don't want to stick to different stuff assuming that everyone else has done their research?
In other words trend-chasers that adopt the beliefs, behaviors, or attitudes of the majority, often at the expense of their own judgment.
I'd disagree. I pop open kbin.social first, and now Artemis second. When I get bored of those, I go to YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit. I'm giving the fediverse priority for my leisure attention, but there just isn't an endless supply of interesting content on the fediverse yet.
It's improving slowly as the Fediverse grows and as I dial in my communities, but it'll be a while before it's able to fully hold its own (for me).
