Why do people complain about oversimplified logos, then when a logo becomes more detailed there's more complaining
Tbh, this just does not look good at all.
I don't think it's fair to suggest that a more detailed logo is going to automatically be good in this context. People can complain about lack of detail, and also be disappointed if more detail is poorly executed.
Not necessarily the same people. And besides, just because you don't like A doesn't mean you have to like B, maybe you prefer C or D.
There are happy mediums and there are different ways to add details.
