Manitoba puts down payment of $80M on 3 new water bombers to fight forest fires

Aren't helicopters more effective? They can spot treat, hover, and load from smaller bodies of water, land in any clearing to setup for fuel not just airports, etc.

We use a lot of helicopters in BC it gets hard to even book one for other work during the summer since they're all busy with fires on a bad year
