Why are people politicizing Peanut the Squirrel

Can't we mourn the loss of a furry friend without bringing up immigration? I have lost so much faith in humanity. Nothing is pure and sacred anymore.

Because new York(city) fucking sucks. The whole state is rotten with bureacratic bullshit that makes it impossible to do things like get licenses for having a pet squirrel(if I'm not wrong the owners license was pending when they took peanut). New York state and city needs new leadership.
