Just don't use airport wifi if you travel within the country
I've only ever noticed it with international travel, but haven't done that in a while so things could've changed in that situation as well.
An international airport is like the one place where I might connect to a public wifi. Maybe I've just landed and don't have a local SIM yet? Or could be I'm on a stopover and only here for a few hours?
This is why I stressed "within the country"
