Does anyone know why the Russians use that blue color in their cockpits?
It's to calm the pilot so they don't panic before being vaporized out of the sky by AIM-120's from BVR 100 miles out
Hexavalent chromium primer. It's probably just their default color.
Looks like the Boeing factory paint color
I read at one point it was thought the color would help keep pilots as alert as possible.
Maybe less glare from reflection of sunlight?
That's green tho.
A few shades greener than turquoise, I'd say
