I'm genuinely shocked that they added a customizable button on the 15P/PM, but don't let you use it as a shutter button when the camera is open. That seems like a colossal oversight
They were holding off so they can “innovative” this capture button into the 16 😂
My SonyEricsson phone in 2006 had that feature 🥲
I just checked and it works as a shutter button for me. Seems like it works as a shutter button only if you have it set to open the camera - if you don’t, whatever action it’s set to seems to take priority
Mine is set to toggle the torch, so that'd explain it
Also the volume buttons trigger the shutter, so seems a little redundant for all 3 buttons to do the same thing
Can't you press volume up to act as a shutter button? That was a feature as old as thr iPhone 4, maybe older.
