Since estradiol is unregulated (in the US anyways), does this mean that you could theoretically make estradiol gummies or put it in energy drinks?

So after doing a bit of searching I found this article: https://www.uclahealth.org/news/article/3-ways-increase-estrogen-naturally

This seems like a bit more of a realistic plan for designing foods/drinks that help boost estrogen levels. Not a substitute for HRT by any means, but rather something that could supplement/enhance it that is also relatively safe to consume regularly.

  • it’s not unregulated. it’s still prescription, it’s just not controlled. like an antibiotic or something. i don’t think you’re allowed to put prescription medication in products like that.

    • So factory farms can pump cows full of hormones and sell the meat to consumers, but I can't spike my energy drinks, gummi bears, oreos, etc. with estrogen?? That just doesn't seem fair to me.
