  • A Statesian pope seemed unlikely with what's happening with the US. Wild that it did happen.

    • He's of Peruvian descent too.

      • When it comes to living there, yes. He lived there for decades working as a missionary. But when it comes to genetics, he's of Spanish, French and Italian descent, so he's still latino.

        • Okay, yeah, still Latino, which is fine by me. He clearly has roots in Peru, which adds to my liking of him... so far, though some disturbing things of how he handled a pedophilia case makes me cautious (I don't know enough yet but I'm definitely cautious).
