"Skydance executives, assisted by consulting firm Bain & Co., have identified $2 billion in potential cost cuts at Paramount."
"Details remain scarce in terms of how exactly Skydance will operate Paramount, but those familiar with the conversations about the takeover have told Deadline that job losses and cost reductions will still be priorities."
I've been harping on about how SNW's backup plan is clearly to just become a complete TOS reboot ... if it survives ... how quickly do you think that happens now?
Well, my understanding of SNW is that it wasn't in the "prime time line" from before the whole USS Kelvin/time travel thing from 2009. Is that not the case?
Although discovery is supposed to be set before that event, I think...
Damn, I really haven't been keeping up.
I don't like watching new shows because I fucking hate cliffhangers with a passion. So I like to wait for their inevitable season 3/5 cancelation.
It's between the original TOS pilot with Pike (and heavily shown in the menagerie through flashbacks) and TOS. It has Spock and Uhura in the main cast and it's made it clear that its timeline ends with TOS.
