Is that actually possible? I don't know how much privilege an operating system has. I would think if would need to go deeper

22 3 ReplyPretty sure the gpu BIOS is limited by default, nothing the OS can do about that.
Same for other parts like the cpu - core voltage is determined by the motherboard.
I doubt the os can just go “2V vcore” and blow up hardware.
11 0 ReplyYeah there's quite a bit of safety mechanisms in place but I imagine windows could just adjust all the gpu overclocking settings to the max and make the system unstable. Plus just reformat all of your drives
