Oh nooooooo someone made a familiar and easy to use app to help people get used to this new ecosystem that can only thrive if people actually show up and use it. What a real shame.
We had the same people griping on Reddit when the first third party apps were developed, before the Reddit app. Also heard similar gripes during the great Digg and Slashdot migrations.
Other people's opinions should not force you to change your own. People shouldn't be judged by how they choose to partake in our internet microcosm. I much prefer sync over FAANG products.
And??? It's a familiar UI for literally hundreds of thousands of people who used it for Reddit. I genuinely do not understand why anyone here would be against it. Gatekeeping is how start ups like this die.
