Adult ADHD Is the Wild West of Psychiatry
Adult ADHD Is the Wild West of Psychiatry
The Adderall shortage exposed a troubling gap in how doctors care for the disorder.

I take issue with the 80 year old description of ADHD “difficulty focusing, inability to sit still, and fidgeting”.
Edit: well, I guess it does add a tad more to the description in its mention of adult adhd.
Also not a fan of the sprinkling of “people are taking drugs they don’t need” and “Adderall is like fentanyl”
Not sure an article like this does more good or harm.
9 0 ReplyWhy are doctors apposed to Adderall at all? It helps me tremendously, and I don't have any downside to using it, yet it is painfully hard to get and maintain a prescription.
4 0 ReplyAdderal is extremely addictive and can be very hard on the body.
If you need it to be a functional adult, then it makes sense, but someone who otherwise would make do shouldn't be taking it just because.
2 0 ReplyI wouldn't say "extremely addictive". More like "easily abused".
