My brain just filled it in, I had to read the comments to notice.

Sure, but they're different in kind. Double deckers, twin engine. I think getting kids to spot the differences is interesting.

I thought the point was that the sentence is grammatically incorrect. It's supposed to be "There are so many are planes" not "They [sic] are...". But no one is pointing that out so I'm not sure if they are meming or misunderstanding.
