It's long island and they most likely will, my pop's a retired cop and they took his gun away for saying something dumb to the wrong person until he went to court and proved himself in court, and then they still made him go through anger management. However the supreme Court just struck down a bunch of rulings that may let him fight it more than my dad could at the time.
Of all the states in terms of gun control NY is one of the strictest, and growing up on Long Island and in and around the city, there's nothing like the gun culture that is pervasive in the American South and West, there is virtually no gun culture in NYC, it's hidden and quiet, or at least it was when I was growing up there.
