My worst fear as a child: the power going out while playing this game. I was convinced he erased all your progress.
I thought he did if you did it too many times. But I was also too chicken to test it out 🐓
He would bluff you. He would give you his huge speech, then say thats it im deleting your save, and the screen would go blank for like 30 seconds. Then he would come back like 'TRY ME ILL REALLY DO IT'
The Japanese are brutal. I would have cried...and shut the console off in those 30 seconds anyway creating an infinite loop of misery.
