Has anyone else noticed a relatively high ridership of bikes?
I live in REDACTED and its a heavy car based location.
Lately though, I noticed more and more bikes in general. Some e-bikes, some just mechanical, but overall a high usage of bikes. I have mine as well I'd use if it was the right type, and if everything wasn't far away from me.
It feels like my area is on the breakthrough of a revolution of bikes due to things like cars being expensive, maybe convenience, or some other factor.
I was curious if it's just me seeing this or it's becoming a more common thing. I just wish that we had more bike lanes/paths available. The current infrastructure can't handle the bikes and normal traffic here.

I live in a very bike friendly area and yes, there's been a massive spike.
Ebikes have made it possible for old people and fat people to enjoy cycling as a hobby, and also others who like the outdoors but not exercise. It's revolutionary

Now, you say that, but... You can't cycle a premade ebike because they're not allowed to supply them with hand throttles as that would make it a motorbike.
Make one yourself from a kit, however... Hand throttle, no pedalling!
The requirements vary by location I imagine.
In my province the most burdensom requirements are a top speed of 35kph and functional pedals. My ebike has a hand throttle.
