Back in my day
Back in my day
I don’t get it.
Children who were left handed were HEAVILY punished and pretty much forced to learn to use their right hand Hence "there were no left handed people back in my days"
It was still done where I'm from in the 80s. I was born lefthanded but have been forcibly converted to being righthanded. This can lead to neurological problems like persistent stutters. I was lucky though.
My grandfather was born in the 40s and a lefty. He was forced to write with his right hand so much he ended up with terrible penmanship regardless of what hand he wrote with
Left handed is also more common in neurodivergent people, autism has higher rates of “not-right handedness” which includes left handedness and mixed handedness
Ah, yes, that makes sense.
Why does the chart go from 1940 to 1900 to 1990?
It's a 6. 1920, 1940, 1960, 1980, 2000. Very mouldy meme though.
Yup, here's a higher resolution image in case anyone wants one that's more readable.
