If being chased by a vampire, the advice is scatter seeds on the ground, the vampire will be compelled to stop and count them

And this was pretty funny in The X-Files, when Mulder spilled sunflower seeds. The vampire drops to the floor and starts counting, spitting at him, "You dick!"

Hahaha, that's awesome.
I didn't learn about this aspect of vampires till a couple years ago. I always wondered why the count on Sesame Street was a vampire.

The slightly goofy Francis Ford Coppola adaptation both includes it and solves it. Van Helsing throws a bowl of grains into the air and Dracula names the total before they hit the ground.
