Meta is one of the highest performing American stocks and 98% of their revenue is advertising. Make it harder and strike a blow for Canada!

The guide is easy enough that parents, grandparents and other non tech types should be fine with it.

    I tried this with my wife once... She cracked and voluntarily turned that setting back on after she started getting a ton of alt-right advertisements. :(

    • Does she not have uBlock Origin installed?

      • Yeah, and that works on her laptop's browser, but her primary computing device is her mobile phone. So ads on YouTube app, ads on Facebook app, ads on Instagram app, also ads on TV YouTube app.

        • Firefox + uBlock works for YouTube on mobile (Android, anyway). It will even allow videos to keep running in the background.

          I can't speak to if it works for FB and IG but it's worth a shot.

            I know!!! I'm right there with ya. This is what I do!

            Unfortunately, the app runs smoother or something idk. She doesn't like using the browser. I've tried, man. IDK. 🤷

        • I wonder how she'd react to NewPipe (unless she's on iOS).

          • I haven't tried NewPipe, but I did install Grayjay on her phone. But... it looks too weird... ajaksdlfjakdfj idk.
