I remember as a kid wondering why they would attack the states like that and my parents and every other adult I asked have different versions of âthey hate our freedomâ or âtheyâre Muslim extremists and want everyone who isnât Muslim to die.â I live in Canada so I can only imagine how much worse it was in the US. To me, even as a child of 11 years old, that sounded far fetched and didnât make much sense. Once the internet became popular I looked it up and realized it wasnât as black and white, good vs evil as all that. Honestly thatâs one of the things that made me start seeing the US as an evil country and start realizing what imperialism was and how horrific it was for the world.
