From Joy to Loss: Our Story in the Heart of Shattered Gaza
In Gaza, my home was a warm refuge that brought the family together, filled with childhood memories and the laughter of loved ones. Every corner witnessed our simple moments that filled the place with life.
But the war changed everything. In an instant, the home that once symbolized safety became a pile of rubble. We lost the peace we once knew, and our memories were scattered among the ruins. Despite everything, we hold onto hope in our hearts, dreaming of returning to rebuild a new life on this land we know as our own.

We felt comfortable (...) our lives were full of celebrations, joy, and happiness. (...) We used to eat the best food (...), and we felt happy and satisfied.
What was Hamas thinking risking all that? What did they think would happen? Oct. 7 feels a bit like golf of Tonkin, giving a much superior power unburdened by morals the perfect excuse to eradicate the last pockets of resistance.
