I don't get this one. Or maybe I do and I just find it less funny than usual? Is the joke that he's just messing around? I feel like in these comics he's usually so excited to get to do something, this seems out of character.
He's messing around so the one time he's actually needed he misses it.

OH MY GOD. OK, thank you. I didn't understand that. Much funnier now. And then he misses the actually request because he's screwing around. It makes way more sense now lol
