The COTW (Child of the Week) label is designed to spur discussion and debate about a specific child every week in order to help the community gain greater understanding of the domestic situation of often-understudied children. If you've wanted to talk about the child or share your experiences, but have never found a relevant place to do so, now is your chance! Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Just got woken up by an earthquake 5.9M. The noise scared me shitless, for a brief second I thought like there was a hurricane going through my room
The one time I've experienced an earthquake was very similar, it woke me up around 6am. I felt phantom vibrations for months after when I was in bed
So it's like remembering the feeling of the ocean, makes sense.
Is. It will scare me when I am waking up like a nightmare as well.
Kinda like how it felt. My first thought was "goddamn, can't believe I'm waking up again because of extremely loud noises in my dream". Because it isn't the first time that has happened, in fact a few days ago I woke up in the middle of the night with something that sounded like a an helicopter extremely close to my ears. But then I thought I had felt the ground shake for a brief second and I checked for an earthquake
Portugal? I felt it too, first time ever I felt an earthquake, and it was only because I woke up to go the bathroom at 5:11 and didn't fall back asleep fast enough
